SYNOPSIS

At Mia’s wake, her sister Jess struggles to keep everything in order while their friends and family navigate grief in their own chaotic ways. But when Mia herself suddenly reappears, she realizes she isn’t just back for herself; she’s back for them. While some can see her and others remain oblivious, Mia becomes a catalyst for unfinished business: confronting her ex Dani’s unresolved love, helping Jess release guilt over missed calls and misplaced mourning, and even standing up to her overbearing boss Caroline, who refuses to acknowledge her death.

As Mia forces her loved ones to face what they’ve been avoiding, she slowly begins to fade—her purpose seemingly fulfilled. But in the end, she isn’t alone. Her friends and family, now a little lighter and a little wiser, gather around her, offering comfort as she prepares for her final goodbye. In death, Mia not only finds closure for herself but grants it to those she leaves behind.
