Sophie Estourgie - Mia

Sophie Estourgie is a Dutch actress based in the Netherlands. After completing a degree in film direction, scriptwriting, and editing, she honed her skills for the craft of filmmaking where her growing interest in acting led her to pursue an acting diploma in Amsterdam. Alongside her work behind the camera on various film sets, Sophie has played multiple roles in short films and theatre productions. She is fluent in both Dutch and American English. She recently won the international Build-A-Short screenplay contest, established by Heavy Shovel Productions, where her script The B-Word will soon be made into a short film in Los Angeles. Currently, Sophie is focused on several other writing projects and continues to be a passionate, lifelong field hockey player.

Kalin Morrow - Jess

Kalin Morrow is an American actress and dancer based in Europe. She earned her BFA in Performing Arts from the University of Oklahoma before further studying acting at the Mulholland Academy in Amsterdam. Her multifaceted work spans both screen and stage where she has played leading roles in theater productions, several short films, and award-winning commercials. Recently, she garnered critical acclaim for her role as The Hooded Woman in NEON’s film CUCKOO, directed by Tilman Singer, which landed in the Indie Film top 9 spot in the U.S. box office. In 2023, she was honored by her alma mater with the Arts Luminary Award in recognition of her contributions to the arts. Beyond acting, Kalin is a professional dancer with over 20 years of experience. In 2024, she was awarded the prestigious Swan Prize for ‘Most Impressive Performance’ at the Dutch Days for her role in The Previous Owner by Dunja Jocić.

Frank Van Der Wulp - Funeral Director

Frank van der Wulp is a filmmaker dedicated to crafting deeply human, emotionally resonant stories that explore identity, relationships, and the nuances of human connection. As a professional actor of 6 years, he is known for his work with actors on set, frequently using uncommon exercises and techniques to further develop characters with the actors. He has studied film and documentary at the university level, alongside psychology. His tertiary education, acting career and experience with documentary making, has allowed for a distinct visual and narrative style that balances sincerity with sharp storytelling in character-driven narratives.

The latest project he is working on, explores themes of love, loss, and self-discovery through a female lens. For this project he is working with an all female crew and working closely alongside the head writer Sophie Estourgie, who is leading the script. Frank does not want to plan the course of the ship, but merely foster an environment where everyone feels they can work to the best of their ability to achieve their collective goals.

Eva Estanol - Clover

Eva Estanol is a Spanish-German actress and anthropologist based in Amsterdam. Fluent in English, Spanish, Catalan, German, and conversational Dutch, she brings cultural versatility to her performances, often incorporating her background in dance into her artistic practice. She graduated cum laude from the University of Amsterdam with a Bachelor’s Honors degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, with a focus on Anthropology and Film. She later earned a diploma in acting at the Mulholland Academy in Amsterdam and has since appeared in both theater and film. Recently, she played The Courtesan in Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors with the Park Avenue Theater in 2024 and Tina, the lead role in an upcoming short dance film, shot in London, exploring the delicate balance between connection and disconnection during lockdown.

Beyond acting, she is currently producing and directing a documentary in Catalonia, Spain, researching non-violent interspecies relationships between wild horses, humans, and the landscape.

Mumbi Kuguru - Dani

Originally born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, and now based in the Netherlands, the half-Kenyan, half-Singaporean Mumbi Kuguru is a multi-faced actress in both film and theater. She has a versatile range of skills which include singing, dancing, and stunt work. Her past works include various short films such as Roundhouse (Best Supporting Actress-), Echoes of Redemption, and a repertoire of plays from Aaron Sorkin’s Hidden in this Picture to Tennessee William’s A Streetcar Named Desire, to William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and most recently performed, As You Like It. Her upcoming works include GG, and Fatima – all set to release in 2025. Outside of acting, Kuguru takes pride in her first and favorite role of being a wife and mother to three children. She is a strong advocate for children’s education, working with foundation The Kilgoris Project to provide healthcare and education to children in rural Kenya.

Isabella Katharina is an Austrian actress based in Amsterdam. She started ballet at the age of four and still dances today. Her love for movement and storytelling eventually led her to acting. Fluent in English, German, Slovak, and Italian, she has performed in various theatre productions and short films. Splitting her time between Amsterdam, Vienna, and London, she brings a blend of cultures and experiences to her work; shaping her performances with depth and authenticity.

Roy Reintjes - Jared

Roy Reintjes is a Dutch actor and improviser based in Amsterdam. He trained in acting at the Mulholland Academy and improv comedy at Boom Chicago. In 2024, he played lead roles in short plays by Neil LaBute, Caryl Churchill, and Eric Bogosian at the wonderHouse boutique theatre and starred in two short films. As an improviser, he performs regularly with Boom Chicago’s house team and his own improv team. Beyond acting, Roy is also a writer, with one of his stories published on the Once podcast. He holds an MSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences and works as a public procurement advisor for the Dutch government.

Sem Caransa is a Dutch actor with blue eyes and a sheepish charm. Comically inclined, but can brood like the best. He started his career on the other side of the camera, directing and assisting on a wide range of productions, from music videos to commercials. He then moved to acting after finishing a professional acting program and is absolutely loving almost every minute of it.
